Membership

Throughout its history, membership in Freemasonry has been regarded as a mysterious and unknown journey. Much of the confusion has arisen from the mistaken impression that Freemasonry is a secret society open only to those invited into its fellowship. It is true that there are secrets whereby a Mason may know another as a fraternal brother and shared only among its members. But Freemasonry is a very public entity in most locations and equally well known for its good and charitable works within the communities it serves. Membership can be solicited by those seeking to join and though the process of joining involves several steps, it is a guided, and helpful journey to becoming known as a Master Mason. We encourage men of good character to take the first steps in one of two ways:

1. The Grand Lodge of Ohio provides information specific to Ohio Freemasonry. Membership information is an important part of the site.

2. Directly apply to the lodge of your choice by using available contact information. For New Carlisle Lodge #100 Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, use the Contact Us link to the lodge secretary. Please take a moment now to send a message to the Lodge Secretary if you are considering membership.
