Condolences Jack Yeager

Brother Jack Yeager died January 10, 2025.
He was a 22 year member of New Carlisle Lodge.

Obituary for Jack A. Yeager  
(April 13, 1943 - January 10, 2025)

On Friday, January 10th, 2025, Jack A. Yeager left this world at the age of 81. Jack was born April 13th, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio to Thomas and Forrest Rose Yeager.  He served his country in the Air Force in an active-duty role as Load Master Specialist.  He retired as an Air Reserve Technical Specialist (ARTS) and supervisor for the 445th Aircraft Maintenance Unit at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

In retirement, Jack enjoyed traveling with high school classmates, bass fishing/tournaments with his son Jack, Jr. and wife Cindy.  At Grace United Methodist Church, Jack served his Lord and Savior as a lay speaker and assisted with various projects and volunteer ministries.

Jack was preceded in death by his father and mother.  He is survived by his wife Cindy, brother Dean, his sister Janice, his children Jack, Jr., Patrick and Joy, the mother of his children- Patty Yeager, as well as nieces and granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday February 1st, 2025, at Grace United Methodist Church, 1401 West Main Street, Springfield, Ohio.  Visitation is at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am afterwards a fellowship lunch will be provided by GUMC. Condolences John Wigger

Brethren, Worshipful Brother John Wigger died January 5, 2025. He was a 43 year member of New Carlisle Lodge. W.B. Wigger was Worshipful Master of New Carlisle Lodge in 1991. Please keep the Wigger family in your prayers.


Obituary for John William Wigger

John William Wigger 64, of Medway, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was born on June 29, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Earl and Marie Wigger. John was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1978, The Ohio State University, and Wright State University. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Carlisle, was Past Master of New Carlisle Lodge #100 F&AM; Royal Arch Chapter #57; Council #143; and Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite. John was a collector of Reds memorabilia, and vintage toys, and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and most of all the band Chicago. He is survived by his siblings Charles Wigger, Susan Frazier, Helen Wigger, and Dorothy (Brett) Beaverson; many nieces and nephews, who lovingly will remember him as Uncle Santa John; cousin Trish Huber; best friends, Mark and Cindy Wheeler, who have been a wonderful support to John’s family, and many other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Jaynie Lorene Fryer Wigger.

Ohio Mason Honored For Valor

Specialist Fourth Class Kenneth J. David was today awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for heroic actions during the Vietnam War. He was previously inducted into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor and Military Bravery on May 7, 2010. As a recipient of a Purple Heart and Distinguished Service Cross, he was also a Distinguished Member of the Regiment of the 1-506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), at Fort Campbell. 

M.W.B. Keith W. Newton, Grand Secretary, announced the pending honor in a message to Ohio Freemasons stating that Brother David is a member of Cortland Lodge #529 F.&A.M. of Ohio. Brother David continues to work with disabled veterans in his retirement.

Debra Jones, 65, of New Carlisle, passed away on December 26, 2024, peacefully at her
home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 14, 1959, to the late Orville and
Marie (Feltner) Hart, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Debra is preceded in death by both her parents,
father John Raisor, and a sister Linda. She leaves behind her loving Husband of 41 years
Bobby Jones, her seven children; Jesse Fry (Stephanie Lubell), of Columbus, Bobby
(Karen) Jones II, of Alexandria, VA, Brian (Telisha) Jones, of Medway, Brandon (Kendall)
Jones, of Springfield, Ashlea (Brad) Olson, of Beavercreek, Kristi Taylor, of Enon, Daniel
Jones, of New Carlisle, three sisters; Barb, Cathy, Donna, a brother; Wayne. Fourteen
grandchildren; Maranda, Kilee, Ellie, P.J., Jake, Gerard, Fiona, Autumn, Brian II, Jacob,
Rose, Clara, John, Lilah, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and the entire Jones family.
Debra loved her family, and she adored spending time with her grandchildren. She was a
member of the Medway Church, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid
bingo player, and she loved to travel. She will be missed by so many, especially her family.
She was a graduate of Wright State University with a Bachelor's degree in Earth Science.
We would like to thank The James Cancer Center and The Hospice of Dayton for their
attentiveness and care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to either of the aforementioned.
Adkins Funeral Home in Enon will be assisting Debra’s family with her final wishes.

Donations to Needy Families

On December 6, Brother Roger Thornbury and W.B. Ted Buskirk presented Family and Youth Initiatives with a $250 donation from New Carlisle Lodge. Nikki Stefanow, Executive Director, accepted the donation and thanked New Carlisle Lodge. They also presented New Carlisle Food Bank with a $250 check from New Carlisle Lodge. The First United Methodist Church Senior Pastor, Reverend Bob Lybarger, accepted on behalf of the New Carlisle Food Bank thanking New Carlisle Lodge for its donation.

Reminder on Calendar Dates

Beginning this month lodge officer meetings have moved to the first Wednesday of each month (January likely an outlier) and the Craft Club meetings are, as usual, at 7 PM on the first Thursday of each month. Other stated meeting nights for Temple bodies remain the same as in the past.
